Volunteer With DGFA

Help Create the Next Opportunity.

DGFA volunteers help turn ideas into real opportunities for people to experience disc golf, connect with others, and become part of a community. Whether you know the game well or simply want to help, there is a place to contribute.

People Make the Mission Possible

DGFA Needs More Than Programs.

Future clinics, community events, outreach activities, equipment programs, and participant experiences will depend on people who are willing to contribute their time, skills, and energy.

Volunteering with DGFA does not mean you have to be an experienced disc golfer. Some roles involve teaching or guiding, while others involve event support, equipment preparation, outreach, administration, media, logistics, and simply helping people feel welcome.

Ways to Help

There Is More Than One Way to Volunteer.

As DGFA grows, volunteer opportunities may vary by event, program, location, and community need.

First Flight Guide

Help welcome new players, introduce the basics of disc golf, provide encouragement, and create a positive first experience.

Event Support

Help with setup, teardown, registration, check-in, participant flow, equipment, hydration, and general event operations.

Course & Activity Support

Assist with putting stations, skills activities, demonstrations, scoring, course navigation, or other hands-on activities.

Community Outreach

Help represent DGFA at schools, community events, veteran organizations, partner activities, and other outreach opportunities.

Participant Support

Help create a welcoming and accessible experience for participants who may benefit from additional assistance or encouragement.

Behind the Scenes

Help with equipment preparation, Open Door or First Flight materials, administration, photography, media, communications, logistics, and other organizational needs.

Everyone Can Contribute

Disc Golf Experience Is Not Required for Every Role.

Experience with disc golf can be helpful for some volunteer positions, especially instructional roles, but many DGFA activities depend on people with other strengths. Organization, communication, hospitality, photography, logistics, community outreach, event support, and a willingness to help can all make a meaningful difference.
